Willie Nelson ‎– … And Then I Wrote (Colored Vinyl) Limited Edition

79,99

Analog remaster from original stereo master tapes. Originally released in 1962. Limited edition release on dark-blue/purple swirled vinyl. Vinyl sleeve is printed in color with copy of the original Jackpot promo on one side. Back side of sleeve has photo of the master tape box.

I owned it when it first came out. My mom was a fan. She took me to one of those Sunday afternoon matinees like you see in “Walk the Line”. She told me about this guy who wrote great songs and this was his first album. Talk to him for about 20 minutes after the show. Nice man. Loved his music. I fell honored. The album is mastered reasonably well, a bit war, which suits it, and Willie’s creds as a songwriter were obvious. At age 13 I din’t realize I had met a future superstar, but there was a lot I didn’t realize. I would rather listen to this than 99% of the country/pop dreck that is out there today. Get this, Red Headed Stranger, and Phases and Stages. You will then understand where Willie came from. Highly recommended.
