Wall Of Voodoo – Wall Of Voodoo

49,99

Wall of Voodoo made their debut with this self-titled six-song EP, which included an excellent cover of the Johnny Cash hit “Ring of Fire.” The rest of the EP isn’t as good, but “Longarm” (the first of Wall of Voodoo’s great factory songs) and the then-risqué “Can’t Make Love” are worthwhile. Vocalist Stan Ridgway sounds like Ric Ocasek on “The Passenger,” while “The Struggle” and “Granma’s House” are instrumentals that pair ominous music with the sounds of someone drowning and a ringing phone, respectively.
