The Beatles ‎– Abbey Road (1st UK Press)

599,99

Dark green label with an image of an apple on side 1 and a sliced apple on side 2. The first label variation has “An E.M.I. Recording” text on two lines and small “33 1/3” text moved to the left side. Publishing year printed with a small copyright symbol (p). The label does not have Her Majesty’s credit on the side 2. The labels are quite dark although the actual shade of green varies greatly among copies. Matrix number: Side 1: YEX 749-2; Side 2: YEX 750-1.

This release does not list “Her Majesty” on either cover or B-side label. The front cover photo is more tightly cropped than on other releases, showing less sky (noticeable over the rooftops right) and less of the drainage grating bottom right. The sleeve has arrow spines.

Small Ⓟ on labels.

Copies exist with both black and white generic inners, the order of release (if any) has been debated since the original release date. This one got the black inner.
