Yellow Submarine, Apple PCS 7070, January 17, 1969, stereo. The album has a front laminated flipback sleeve. Covers were manufactured by Garrod and Lofthouse. The stereo covers have PCS 7070 and Stereo in the upper right corner, and red lines above and below the rear sleeve note. The initial stereo covers have no information on the flaps. Later stereo sleeves have “Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patent No. 943,895” on the lower flap. The records were housed in black inner sleeves with a die-cut circular opening on one side to expose the Apple label. These sleeves were most likely manufactured by Harrison & Sons.

First pressing, January 17, 1969. Dark green label with an image of an apple on side 1 and a sliced apple on side 2. Label has “An E.M.I. Recording” text on two lines and “Sold In U.K. subject to resale price conditions, see price lists” text. Publishing year printed with small copyright symbol (p). Matrix numbers: Side 1: YEX 715-1; Side 2: YEX 716-1.
