Elis Regina & Toots Thielemans ‎– Elis & Toots

39,99

This wasn’t the first Brazilian album I heard, or the first by Elis, and certainly not the first with Toots and Brazilian musicians, but this is the one that I return to. To me, it embodies the intensity of much Brazilian music (especially bossa and MPB) and the ability of non-Brazilians to collaborate with their Brazilian counterparts. Plus, this record was made during a freezing Stockholm winter! As a “brasileiro honorário” I can understand the need to keep the music warm inside, and there’s no better way to do that than demonstrated on this album.
