Eartha Kitt – In Person At The Plaza

49,99

Live at the Plaza has a reputation amongst Eartha Kitt fans as being one of the essential releases still in print. Another live album, Live in London is also popular but is harder to track down. The sound in this live recording is A+, with crystal clear vocals and a deep full band. Live at the Plaza captures Eartha Kitt’s sultry stage presence and seductive phrasings at their very best. The songs on the album are also diverse and wonderful, from the bold “Sell Me!” to the sex kitten vamp “I Want to Be Evil” to the surprisingly great “Rumania Rumania.” Some live albums are one-time listens, but Live at the Plaza stands up to multiple visits. First released in 1965, a good CD version was introduced in 1987. Fans need to pick up this disc.
