Arthur Fiedler And The Boston Pops ‎– Capriccio Italien – Capriccio Espagnol (Audiophile)

69,99

Rare Audiophile Half-Speed Direct Disc Recording Still Sealed.

Listeners were dubious of direct to master lacquer recordings because they felt the performance may be inhibited by a fear of mistakes, which would require a complete start-over take. This is not the case with these entries. The Boston Pops is the Boston Symphony Orchestra less its twelve or so first desk superstars, so I believe they can handle it. Arthur Fiedler was an accomplished musician and conductor far beyond the Sunday Pops concerts that were so popular. His interpretations of these two warhorses are the best I’ve heard and I will return to this disc whenever I feel like a blood pressure spike.
